Doctor of Chiropractic

Redding, CA

I am Michael J. Moore, D.C., a third generation Palmer College Graduate. For those unfamiliar with the history of Chiropractic, the Palmer family discovered and developed Chiropractic beginning with D.D. Palmer, D.C. in 1895. He was followed by his son, B. J. Palmer, D.C. who moved Chiropractic forward to establish the largest natural healing art in America today.

My family started in Chiropractic with my grandfather, Glenn Moore, D.C., who graduated in 1923. Glenn practiced in Oregon for most of his career, retiring after 43 years of service.

My father, A. G. Moore, D.C., graduated from Palmer in 1956. He was in full-time practice for 40 years and continued to help in our office for many years after his retirement.

I graduated from Palmer College of Chiropractic in 1981, returning to Redding to practice in 1982 where my wife, Donna, and I have been serving our community ever since. I have gone on to a post-graduate degree in Chiropractic Philosophy in 2005 joining the ranks of the Legion of Chiropractic Philosophers (L.C.P.). I am a past president of the North State Chiropractic Society and a member of both the California Chiropractic Association and International Chiropractors Association. Through the years I have attended many postgraduate courses including pediatrics, extremity adjusting, sports injuries, and numerous other diversified techniques. We attend seminars and programs on a regular basis to this day to stay abreast of the newest techniques and changes in this ever-evolving form of natural health care.

My wife, Donna, is an X-ray technician and also completed an associate’s certificate in the Legion of Chiropractic Philosophers program.

Our daughter, Sandy Hall, D.C., graduated from Palmer College in 2004 and is in private practice in Redding, California. Our second daughter Alisha Freydenfeldt, D.C. graduated from Life West Chiropractic College in 2019 and is in private practice in Concord, New Hampshire. Our nephew, Brian Willyard, D.C. practices in Port Orchard, Washington, making three 4th generation Chiropractors in our family! Our son, Curtis Moore, works in our office and is also an X-ray technician in our family owned practice.

Most patients initially come to our office for relief of pain or disease at some level in their body. We find for most people, however, once we look a little deeper into their health goals, the real desire beyond pain relief is to prevent recurrences of chronic pain and to be well, stay healthy, and experience a life that is active and vibrant for as long as possible. Our patients frequently enjoy renewed energy, decreased frequency of sickness, and freedom to do the activities that bring happiness and a sense of quality in their living.

See what our patients are saying!

If this is what you are looking for give us a call and we will make arrangements for a time to meet you and evaluate your current health status. We are dedicated to offer the finest chiropractic care possible. Put our years of experience to work for you.

Donna, my staff, and I look forward to meeting you in person.

To your health,
Michael J. Moore, D.C.,

3 Generations

Three Generations of Chiropractic Care
As a child, I watched my grandfather help injured farmers and loggers get back to work so they could provide for their families. As a third generation chiropractor I take pride in helping people not only get out of pain but also helping them become healthy. Like my father and grandfather, I’ve helped many people who were told they could not be helped. The only way we can find out if I can help you, as my family has helped thousands of others since 1923, is for you to simply call my office at 530-221-4200. My staff and I are ready to serve you. – Michael Moore D.C.

A Family Doctor Who Cares
I am a third generation Doctor of Chiropractic, following my grandfather’s and father’s footsteps, helping patients in our community for 30 years.
